On a chilly afternoon of January 4th, 2026, fans at the Woodman Park Community Centre were treated to an exhilarating display of youthful talent as the Falcons clinched a thrilling victory over the Eagles. Though the Eagles fought valiantly, the Falcons eventually emerged as the winners, proving to be the stronger team.
The game started with a bang as Marco Barrett of the Eagles found the back of the net just over 6 minutes into the first period. However, the Falcons quickly retaliated with an equalizer from Ben Milmine. The Falcons then took control of the game, with Jackson Swayze, Elijah Mathura and Ben Milmine netting goals to give the Falcons a commanding lead.
The second period witnessed an equally intense showdown. Gabriel Greene and Marco Barrett for the Eagles and Jackson Swayze for the Falcons all found the back of the net, further electrifying the atmosphere at the Woodman Park Community Centre.
Despite a brief fightback from the Eagles, with goals from Mason Plante and Marco Barrett, the Falcons held strong. A flurry of goals from Jackson Swayze, Mason Foden, and Ben Milmine secured the victory for the Falcons.
Elijah Mathura of the Falcons was sent off for 2 minutes for tripping, but that didn’t slow down the relentless Falcons. It was a star-studded performance with Jackson Swayze and Ben Milmine being the standout performers, netting multiple goals each.
As the final whistle blew, the score stood in favor of the Falcons. Despite the loss, the Eagles showed great promise and are sure to be back stronger in their next game. And so, the exhilarating face-off came to an end, leaving the spectators with memories of a thrilling ball hockey game.
