Epic Showdown: Brantford Ball Crushers Overwhelm Mighty Turtles!

On the chilly evening of November 3, 2025, the Brantford Ball Crushers displayed an extraordinary performance against the Mighty Turtles in a thrilling ball hockey game at BHi Brantford 1. This was Game 2 of the ‘Best 2 out of 3’ elimination series, and the Crushers didn’t disappoint their fans, securing a decisive victory.

The Crushers showed their dominance right from the get-go. Jay Dekker opened the Crushers’ scoring, assisted by Sam Overgauuw and Dillon Breen. But the star of the night was Dillon Breen, who notched an impressive hat trick, and was involved in several assists, proving to be a thorn in the Turtles’ side all evening. Christopher Rowe and Vern Hill also chipped in with multiple goals, keeping the scoreboard ticking and the crowd on their toes. The Crushers’ offensive flurry was too hot for the Turtles to handle, with the home team outshooting the visitors 17 to 13.

The Mighty Turtles didn’t go down without a fight, though. Donte VanEvery managed to slip a couple past the Crushers’ defense, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. The only penalty of the night went to the Crushers’ Sam Overgauuw, but the Turtles were unable to capitalize on the power play opportunity.

Referees Nick Zupan and Jeff Bradbury, along with timekeeper Olivia Gairns, ensured the game flowed smoothly. As the final buzz sounded, the Crushers celebrated their well-earned victory, proving their mettle in this decisive tournament showdown.
