Empire Seizes Victory in Thrilling Championship Showdown

It was a day to remember on November 15, 2025, as the Empire and the Crusaders clashed in a nail-biting ball hockey championship game at BHi Brantford 2. The Empire emerged victorious, proving their mettle in a thrilling encounter that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

The game began with high energy as both teams displayed robust defense. The first period saw a minor setback for the Crusaders when Liam Torelli was penalized for tripping. But the team rallied back, keeping the game scoreless. The second period was equally intense, with Olivia Hebert from the Crusaders also getting penalized for hooking. Yet, the Crusaders managed to ward off any scoring from the Empire.

However, the Empire struck back in the third period. Despite a penalty on Johnathan Jantzi for unsportsmanlike conduct, the Empire maintained their composure. It was Andre Greene who broke the deadlock with an even-strength goal, assisted by Aiden Sioen and Emerson Stewart. The Empire put on a stellar performance, taking an impressive 33 shots compared to the Crusaders’ 8.

The game concluded with the Empire taking the championship trophy home and the Crusaders putting up a valiant fight. It was a fantastic day of ball hockey that will be remembered by all spectators. Kudos to referees Raine Hernden and Owen Doucette, and timekeeper Jake Carmichael, for keeping the game in check and ensuring a fair match. We can’t wait to see what next season brings!
