The air was electric at BHi Brantford 1 on the afternoon of September 27, 2025, where the ’12 to 14 Dragons’ clashed with the Knights in a thrilling ball hockey battle. Full of excitement and skilled gameplay, the Dragons emerged victorious, with a final score that certainly reflected their fiery determination.
The first period saw the Dragons’ Noah Parry and Noah Khimji dominate the playing field, scoring a total of three goals! However, the Knights’ Lana Barkman didn’t let the Dragons have all the fun, sneaking in a goal for the Knights and keeping the game competitive. Not to be outdone, Noah Khimji and Masen Buscombe, each netted a goal before the first period whistle.
The second period brought more action, with Masen Buscombe stationed at the goalpost to increase the Dragons’ lead. As the third period got underway, the Dragons were unstoppable. Masen Buscombe, Elijah Khimji, and Noah Khimji all found the back of the net, continuing the Dragons’ scoring streak.
Despite some spirited defense from the Knights, the Dragons’ offensive prowess proved too hot to handle. The Dragons’ offensive onslaught concluded with an impressive goal from Noah Khimji, assisted by Elijah Khimji and Masen Buscombe.
Even amidst the excitement, the game was played in great sportsmanship. Penalties were minimal, with Amirra Van Wieren, Elijah Khimji, and Masen Buscombe of the Dragons each serving a two-minute stint for minor infractions.
Heartfelt thanks to referees Sean Gairns and Lucas Johnston, and timekeeper Jake Carmichael for ensuring a fair and smoothly ran game. Kudos to the ’12 to 14 Dragons’ for their fiery performance and to the Knights for their valiant effort. We can’t wait to see what these teams bring to the rink next time!
