It was a night of fun and excitement at the BHi Brantford 2 venue this past October 1st, 2025, where the energetic Crank Lightning brought the house down against The Gamblers(Cr) in an action-packed ball hockey game. The final scoreboard lit up in favor of the home team – Crank Lightning, clearly showing their prowess on the rink.
The first period showed signs of things to come, as Justin Metham loaded up a perfectly timed shot 6 minutes 39 seconds into the game for Crank Lightning, assisted by his brother, Josh. The Metham brothers’ synergy was undeniable!
The second period was an absolute blitz from Crank Lightning, with five goals lighting up the scoreboard. Wes Whitlow, Alex Richardson, Justin Metham, and Josh Peixoto all found the back of the net thanks to some terrific team play. Tim Porter completed the second period’s goal tally, making use of a perfect assist from Peixoto.
The Gamblers’ only consolation came in the third period when Sako Swamp managed to sneak a goal past the Crank Lightning defense, assisted by Marshall Powless. Despite the late hustle, The Gamblers(Cr) couldn’t overcome the dominant performance of Crank Lightning.
In the end, the number of shots also told the story, with Crank Lightning taking 37 shots compared to The Gamblers’ mere 8. Congratulations to Crank Lightning for a well-deserved win! We’re already excited for the next showdown. Stay tuned, folks!
