On the 28th of December 2025, the Caraiboozers faced off against the Jokers in an exciting ball hockey match held at the Woodman Park Community Centre. The match, filled with end-to-end action, kept the audience on the edge of their seats till the very end.
The game kicked off with an intense first period. Preston VanEvery, from the Caraiboozers, proved to be the star of the show by scoring two consecutive goals within a minute. However, the Jokers weren’t far behind as they pulled one back with a goal from Bill Hill.
The second period was equally thrilling, with both teams firing shots back and forth. The Caraiboozers once again took the lead with a goal from Jordan Wonch, only for the Jokers to equalise seconds later with Bill Hill scoring his second of the match. Tyler Carnahan of the Jokers then took the lead for the first time in the game. Despite this, the Caraiboozers didn’t lose hope and soon equalised with Jordan Wonch’s second goal. Not letting their guard down, the Jokers pushed back immediately with Tyler Carnahan netting his second goal, leaving the scoreboard at 4-3 in favor of the Jokers at the end of the second period.
A penalty was awarded to the Jokers’ Terri Lynn Reid, marking the only penalty of the game.
However, the Caraiboozers managed to level the game once again in a dramatic shootout. Breanne Bennett of the Caraiboozers showed nerves of steel as she expertly scored the winning goal, declaring the Caraiboozers the victors of this hard-fought match.
The game ended with the Caraiboozers celebrating their well-deserved victory, having made an impressive comeback from being a goal down in the second period. This match will surely be remembered for its thrilling moments and the brilliant performances by both teams.
