Big Stick Bandits Triumphs Over Shamrocks in Thrilling Semi-Finals Opener!

Fans were treated to a thrilling game of ball hockey on the evening of August 18, 2025 as the Big Stick Bandits squared off against the Shamrocks for the first game of the best 2 out of 3 semi-final series at BHi Brantford 1.

The Big Stick Bandits made a strong start with Colton Wallace scoring an even strength goal just 47 seconds into the first period, thanks to assist by Matthew MacLean. However, the Shamrocks were not to be outdone and the tension soared in the venue when Evgeny Myshkin fired back in the second period with Austin Scott and Cody Summers assisting.

The turning point of the match came in the form of Talon Harrington from the Big Stick Bandits, who landed a fantastic goal in the seventh minute of the second period with help from Brady Macovi. Liam McCall later added another even strength goal in the third period, paving the way for the Bandits’ victory.

Despite a valiant effort from the Shamrocks, the Big Stick Bandits ultimately took the game with a score that remains a mystery as the match ended in a flurry of excitement. No doubt the Shamrocks will be looking to even the score in the next game of the series.

It’s also worth noting the performances of the officials Tom Picone and Sean Gairns, who kept the game flowing smoothly.
