On a chilly day of December 21st, 2025, Woodman Park Community Centre was a hotbed of ball hockey action as the Brantford Royals Gold faced off against the Brantford Royals Black. The game was nothing short of thrilling, with the Royals Gold emerging as the victors.
Becca King of the Royals Gold shone brightly, scoring a whopping 7 goals out of a total of 13, securing the victory for her team. The first period saw Becca scoring five back-to-back goals, and with PJ Fulsom and Nick Weeks adding two goals each, Royals Gold led the first period with an impressive 9-1 score.
Not to be outdone, Samson Kisac of Royals Black scored the team’s only goal in the first period, a commendable effort against the onslaught of the Gold team.
The second period saw the Royals Gold continue their dominance, with the Barkman siblings, Tristan and Heather, pitching in with a goal each. PJ Fulsom scored his second goal of the day, with Becca King adding another two to her impressive tally. Despite efforts by Johnathan Jantzi and Kaitlyn Barkman of the Royals Black, who managed to score a goal each, the Royals Gold kept the pressure on and closed the game with a strong finish.
All in all, it was a day of fun, excitement, and healthy competition between the two teams. The game was expertly officiated by referee Dave Dean, and timekeeper Nathan Feeney ensured everything ran smoothly.
