On a crisp, wintry afternoon of December 21, 2025, the Eagles faced off against the Falcons in a thrilling youth ball hockey contest at the Woodman Park Community Centre. It wasn’t just a game; it was a spectacle that had the audience at the edge of their seats, ending in a nail-biting shootout victory for the Eagles!
The game started off strong with the Falcons’ Elijah Mathura and Lennox Young hitting the back of the net early in the first period, setting a fast pace for the Falcons. However, the Eagles’ Gabriel Greene flew back with two consecutive goals, leveling the score.
Just when the Eagles thought they had caught their breath, the Falcons’ Emillie Blagdon swooped in to regain the lead for the Falcons at the end of the first period.
The second period was a back-and-forth scramble with both teams firing shots. Falcons’ Jackson Swayze and Mason Foden each found the net, but the Eagles were not far behind. Gabriel Greene completed his hat-trick while Marco Barrett and Ella Jackson added to the tally, tying the game and forcing a heart-stopping shootout.
