Fans were on the edge of their seats on November 3, 2025, as the Gladiators and the 12 to 14 Dragons clashed in a thrilling ball hockey match at BHi Brantford 1. The round-robin game ended with a spectacular comeback victory for the Gladiators.
The Dragons started out strong, with Elijah Khimji netting the first goal just under 9 minutes into the first period, assisted by Noah Khimji. The Gladiators quickly countered as Lucas Rocha found the back of the net, with assists from Bentley Agoston and Carter Gilchrist. The Dragons, however, seized control of the rest of the period, with goals from Noah Khimji, Elijah Khimji, and Masen Buscombe, making the score 4-1 in favor of the Dragons.
The second period saw the Gladiators gain some ground with Ryder Latendresse scoring a goal assisted by Carter Gilchrist and Lucas Rocha. But, the Dragons struck back as Elijah Khimji scored his third goal of the game, making the score 5-2.
The third period kicked off with an electrifying pace, with Lucas Rocha of the Gladiators scoring a goal early on. This was quickly followed by a goal from Elijah Khimji, extending the Dragons’ lead. The Gladiators, however, were not done. They orchestrated a stunning comeback, scoring four unanswered goals in the final minutes of the game. Ryder Latendresse became the hero of the game, scoring three of those goals, with Bentley Agoston chipping in another.
Tensions rose as Noah Parry from the Dragons and Carter Gilchrist from the Gladiators each received a two-minute penalty but it failed to alter the game’s outcome. The Gladiators held on to their lead, winning the game with a thrilling comeback.
It was indeed a day to remember for the Gladiators and a game for all ball hockey lovers. We can’t wait to see what these two teams bring to the rink next time!
