Hat-Trick Heroics Propel Grizzlies Over Dolphins

The Grizzlies triumphed over the Dolphins in an exciting youth ball hockey showdown at BHi Brantford 2 on October 29, 2025. The game was a rollercoaster of emotions, featuring fantastic goal-scoring, determined defense, and a hat-trick performance by Rhys MacDonald, who led the Grizzlies to a thrilling victory.

From the opening whistle, the game was filled with non-stop action. Rhys MacDonald, Grizzlies’ star player, opened the scoring just over two minutes into the first period with a well-taken shot, assisted by Carter Norris.

The Dolphins responded in the second period when Maverick Stewart brushed off the opposition’s defense and found the back of the net. However, the Grizzlies remained unfazed. MacDonald struck again, this time set up by Emmett White, regaining the lead for the Grizzlies.

The third period was as exciting as they come. Stewart once again brought the Dolphins level, but MacDonald completed his hat-trick, giving the Grizzlies the lead. Jace Lesky and Declan Paul added two more goals to the Grizzlies’ tally, securing a comfortable lead. Despite Brayson Longboat’s late strike for the Dolphins, it was too little, too late.

It’s worth mentioning the sportsmanship and discipline both teams displayed. Only two minor penalties were handed out, both in the second period. Cece Wythe and Gabriel Greene from the Dolphins served 2 minutes each for tripping.

The final whistle confirmed the Grizzlies’ victory, ending an exhilarating match filled with top-notch hockey action. The fans and team members left the venue with smiles on their faces, eagerly looking forward to the next game.
