On the night of October 17, 2025, the crowd at BHi Brantford 2 witnessed an exhilarating ball hockey clash between the Cherry Blasters and the home team, OPP. The Cherry Blasters emerged victorious in this thrilling encounter through a strong team performance that saw them control the game from the start.
The Cherry Blasters opened the scoring in the first period with Brendan Macleod netting a goal, aided by Kourtney Balaga and Brittany Mead. The Blasters’ momentum did not stop there, as Ryan Ashurst expanded the lead with a goal of his own, assisted by Judy Hycza and Kourtney Balaga.
OPP, however, weren’t going down without a fight. Tom Stright opened the scoring for OPP in the second period with assists from Trevor Martin and Jon Geoffroy. This goal infused a new energy into the game and kept the spectators at the edge of their seats.
The third and final period saw Markus Mathurin of the Cherry Blasters net another goal, this time with assists from Brendan Macleod and Mary Parry. Alvaro Alves of OPP managed to squeeze in a goal for the home team, but it was not enough to catch up to the Blasters.
