In a thrilling youth ball hockey match on October 16, 2025, Dickens Cider emerged victorious against The Brand in a high-scoring game that kept spectators at the edge of their seats.
The action began almost immediately with Ryan Comeau of Dickens Cider scoring the first goal of the night just nine minutes into the game, assisted by Liam Hartman. The momentum continued as teammate Josef Sorensen chimed in with a goal of his own just a few minutes later.
The Brand quickly responded with their first goal of the match, courtesy of Raine Hernden. However, that didn’t deter Dickens Cider, who rallied back with three more goals in the second period by Liam Hartman, Richard Little, and Jacob. The Brand also managed to sneak in a goal in the final minute of the second period, thanks to the efforts of Matt Secor.
With both teams giving their all in the final period, Matt Secor of The Brand managed to find the net once again, but Dickens Cider was not to be outdone. Liam Hartman and Josef Sorensen each scored their second goals of the match to secure the victory for Dickens Cider. Despite The Brand’s final goal by Joshua Boone, it was Dickens Cider who ultimately emerged victorious in this exciting encounter.
However, the game wasn’t without its share of drama. The third period saw a flurry of penalties, with players from both teams penalized for roughing. Nonetheless, the game ended on a high note with Dickens Cider’s Josef Sorensen scoring the final goal of the match in the very last seconds.
