Pearson and Boutilier Sparkle as ‘Nips n’ Tips’ Power Past ‘Lumberjacks’

On the cool evening of October 10, 2025, the BHi Brantford 1 venue came alive with some thrilling youth ball hockey action. The ‘Nips n’ Tips’ faced off against the ‘Lumberjacks’ in a game that was brimming with talent and energy.

The ‘Nips n’ Tips’ dominated the game from start to finish, displaying remarkable team effort and individual skill. Shannon Pearson was on a roll, scoring four goals, two of which were set up by Brittany Fazekas and Kyle Boutilier in the first period. Pearson’s third goal was assisted by Connor and Andrew Maclean, cementing the team’s lead in the game. Pearson scored her fourth goal in the third period, with Jenn Boutilier and a default player lending their support.

Kyle Boutilier was another star player of the game, netting three goals for the ‘Nips n’ Tips’. His first goal was set up by Jenn Boutilier and Pearson in the opening period. With no assist, Boutilier successfully hit his second goal in the second period. His third goal, assisted by a default player and Connor Maclean, came in the final period, further cementing their lead.

Brittany Fazekas and Andrew Maclean each added a goal to the tally, ensuring a comfortable lead for the ‘Nips n’ Tips’. The ‘Lumberjacks’, despite their best efforts, could only manage a single goal, scored by Isabella Hipkin and assisted by Dylan Wallis, in the final period.

The ‘Nips n’ Tips’ showed superior control and skill, registering a total of 29 shots on goal compared to the ‘Lumberjacks’ 15. Despite the single goal, the ‘Lumberjacks’ showed great promise and determination.
