On the 2nd of October, 2025, a thrilling game of youth ball hockey took place at the BHi Brantford 1 between the fierce competitors, The Snipe Clan and The Gamblers. Under the watchful eyes of referees Dave Dean and Machaela Mathurin, and timekeeper Olivia Gairns, the game was all set for some exciting action on the rink.
The first period saw an exchange of goals between both teams. The Gamblers’ June Buffalo scored the opening goal, but The Snipe Clan answered back with two quick goals from Daryl Hill and Brandon Hill. The second period saw The Snipe Clan pull ahead with another goal from Daryl Hill, even though The Gamblers’ Randon Green and Jordan Sandy managed to find the back of the net.
As the third period started, tension was high. The Snipe Clan’s Chuck Doxtator managed to score, only to be answered back by Marshall Powless from The Gamblers. But The Snipe Clan was not to be deterred, scoring three more goals with contributions from Chuck Doxtator, Brandon Hill, and finally, Daryl Hill sealing the win for The Snipe Clan.
In spite of a spirited effort from The Gamblers, the final scoreline read in favor of The Snipe Clan. This high-energy game saw some brilliant performances, with Chuck Doxtator, Daryl Hill, and Brandon Hill particularly standing out. The fans surely went home with memories of an entertaining and riveting game of youth ball hockey.
