Regina Hares Hop to Victory Over The Brand

On a brisk autumn evening of September 25, 2025, the crowd at BHi Brantford 2 was treated to an exciting game of ball hockey. The Regina Hares took on The Brand, showcasing their skills and giving the audience a game to remember.

The game started with a bang as Joel Vlietstra of the Regina Hares scored the first goal, assisted by Jacob Gaudet, just 5 minutes and 16 seconds into the first period. As the Hares continued to press, they found the back of the net once again before the end of the first period. Riley Eechaute, assisted by Gaudet and Thomas Beres, scored at 1 minute and 58 seconds, taking the Hares to a 2-0 lead.

The Brand came back fighting in the second period, with Raine Hernden scoring a goal at 3 minutes and 50 seconds into the period, assisted by Matt Secor and Erik DeVuyst. Despite their best efforts, The Brand couldn’t quite catch up to the Regina Hares.

It wasn’t for the lack of excitement though! The third period saw penalties for The Brand’s Shane Woodley, Cody Hannah, and Matt Secor which added a dose of suspense and drama to the match.

Despite a gallant fight by The Brand, the night belonged to the Regina Hares who bounced their way to a glorious victory. The Hares put on a great show, matching their agility with strategic team play. The Brand, though on the losing side, showed great spirit and promise. Their robust defense and aggressive attack promise exciting games in the future.
