In an electrifying game of ball hockey on September 16, 2025, The Rocks proved why they’re not just another team on the block. With brilliant maneuvers and quick goals, The Rocks emerged victorious against The Smoke, in a game full of energy and excitement at the BHi Brantford 2.
The Rocks started off strong, with Aaron Churchill scoring the first goal in the 6th minute of the first period, assisted by Steve Vanzella. Not long after, Chris Scott doubled the lead for The Rocks, netting another goal, this time with Seth Verrips assisting.
In the second period, Verrips turned from provider to scorer, making it three for The Rocks with Churchill returning the favour with an assist. The game continued to rock for The Smoke as Evgeny Myshkin and Seth Verrips added two more goals for The Rocks, assisted by Josh Miller, Kyle Vachon, and Chris Scott respectively.
The third period saw some heated moments with penalties awarded to both Aaron Churchill from The Rocks and Kevin Murphy from The Smoke, but it did nothing to cloud The Rocks’ performance. The team’s solid defense kept The Smoke at bay, allowing only 9 shots compared to The Rocks’ 15.
A game that started as a competition between two determined teams ended with The Rocks standing tall and proud. Their fans cheered, basking in the glory of a well-deserved victory.
