Friday night Ball Hockey was alive and kicking on August 22, 2025, when the Scorgasms faced off against the Mighty T’weas at BHi Brantford 2. Seizing the day, the Scorgasms skated past the Mighty T’weas, marking another victory to their name.
The game was jam-packed with action from the first whistle. Scorgasms’ Ian Martin made the first move, scoring an even-strength goal just 6 minutes and 50 seconds into the first period. Not far behind, Donavon Monteforte, assisted by Alissa General and Ian Martin, buried a shot into the net at the 3 minutes 36 seconds mark. Monteforte struck again just 14 seconds later, once again with an assist from Alissa General.
The second period was equally exciting as Alissa General of Scorgasms scored another goal for the team. However, the Mighty T’weas didn’t back down. Scott Riley, assisted by Cody Summers and Jeremy Hunchak, managed to score two back-to-back goals, heating up the competition.
Despite the Mighty T’weas’ valiant effort, the Scorgasms dominated the third period. Donavon Monteforte, the star of the night, added two more goals to his tally, bringing his total to four. Cody Summers of the Mighty T’weas managed to score a goal in the final period but it was not enough to turn the tide.
Despite a penalty called against Monteforte for delaying the game, the Scorgasms managed to keep the lead till the end, rounding off a fantastic night of ball hockey. Let’s look forward to more action in the upcoming games!
