On August 23, 2025, the Dragons and Knights competed in an epic semi-finals match at BHi Brantford 1. The thrilling game ended in an amazing comeback from the Dragons!
The first period saw Lucas Rocha of the Knights nab two unassisted goals, one at 6:38 and another at 4:43, assisted by Dean Bazylinsky. Rocha continued his scoring streak in the second period, bagging another goal at 6:34, assisted by Chance Albrecht. Not to be outdone, Austin Thompson of the Knights drove home a goal at 4:21.
But the Dragons were not to be easily defeated. They started to turn the game around in the second period with Stephen O’Sulivan and Carter Gilchrist both scoring goals. Gilchrist’s goal came right at the buzzer, with an assist from Hayden Mitchell.
The third period was when the Dragons truly caught fire. Holden Bruner started the charge with his goal at 7:21. Hayden Mitchell followed suit, scoring at 5:33 with assists from Kellis Montour and Chase Foster. Stephen O’Sulivan made his second goal of the match at 4:14 with an assist from Carter Gilchrist. The game’s final goal came from Hayden Mitchell at 3:07, assisted by Owen Christensen and Stephen O’Sulivan.
Despite the Knights’ strong start, the Dragons rallied back, showing their true grit and determination. The game ended with a triumphant victory for the Dragons. With no penalties throughout the game, the semi-finals was a clean, fast-paced match that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned for more exciting ball hockey action!
