On the bright afternoon of August 16, 2025, fans at the BHi Brantford 2 venue witnessed an exhilarating round robin ball hockey game between the Knights and Crusaders. The Knights emerged victorious, showcasing exemplary teamwork and strategy.
The game started with an energetic first period. The Knights made their mark seven minutes in with Austin Thompson scoring the opening goal. However, the Crusaders retaliated in the second period with Cameron Blagdon leveling the score with an assist from Daniel Wils.
It was no time for the Knights to retreat. Grayson Thompson and Chance Albrecht, in a span of just 25 seconds, scored two successive goals elevating the Knights into the lead. Chance Albrecht didn’t stop there. In the third period, he scored another goal, assisted by Austin Thompson, making it a double for both the Thompson and Albrecht.
The Crusaders made one last attempt to level the score with Leilin Coombs scoring in the final minute. However, it was Austin Thompson who had the final say with his third goal of the game, securing a decisive victory for the Knights.
Despite a two-minute penalty for the Knights’ Dean Bazylinsky in the first period, the team managed to out-manoeuvre the Crusaders, ending the game on a high note. The game showcased some fantastic teamwork, strategic play, and individual performances, making it a memorable day for both the players and the fans.
