Shootout Showdown: Falcons Soar Over Eagles in Nail-Biter

On a thrilling afternoon at BHi Brantford 1, on August 13, 2025, ball hockey fans were treated to an exhilarating game between the Eagles and the Falcons. The game ended in a thrilling shootout, with the Falcons ultimately soaring to victory.

The Falcons got off to a flying start with Ryan Webb putting the team on the scoreboard just 8 minutes and 40 seconds into the first period. Not long after, Rowan Hansford, assisted by Brayson Longboat and Camille Schaaf, doubled their lead. The Eagles, however, were far from discouraged.

In the second period, Lana Barkman of the Eagles responded with back-to-back goals, one assisted by Logan Barkman, bringing the game to a tie. Not to be outdone, Logan Barkman, assisted by Carter Lesemann, gave the Eagles the lead for the first time in the game.

With tension running high, the third period saw the Falcons’ Ryan Webb, assisted by Camille Schaaf and Brayson Longboat, tie the game once more, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion.

In a final test of skill and nerve, the game was decided by a shootout. Rowan Hansford of the Falcons emerged as the hero, netting the final goal, and securing victory for his team.
