An unforgettable showdown took place on the ball hockey field on August 8, 2025, as the Scorgasms and Bandits faced off in a thrilling match. The venue, BHi Brantford 2, was charged with electric energy, as both teams demonstrated high-level skills and sportsmanship.
The game kicked off with a bang, as Ian Martin of Scorgasms landed the first goal, with a swift assist from Brock Smith and Chiara Carinci, just six minutes into the first period. However, the Bandits were quick to retaliate, with Joshua Beaulieu evening the score in no time, thanks to Nick White’s deft assist.
The second period saw the Scorgasms leap ahead, with Brock Smith and Ian Martin proving to be an invincible pair. Yet, the Bandits weren’t far behind. Alyssa Smith and Jesse Hover fought back, narrowing the score gap.
In the third period, the Scorgasms seemed to have the upper hand, with Brock Smith scoring two impressive goals. But Bandits’ Jesse Hover, refusing to back down, scored the equalizing points in the final seconds of the period, with Paige Court providing a valuable assist.
The game was pushed into an adrenaline-filled overtime period, where Jesse Hover, the star player of the night, scored the winning goal for the Bandits. Hover’s performance, which included three goals in the third period and the decisive tournament-winner, was truly the highlight of the game.
By the end of the match, the Scorgasms had let loose 25 shots, while the Bandits had 18. Yet, it was the Bandits who emerged as the triumphant victors in this nail-biting showdown.
