In a thrilling game on the evening of August 27, 2025, the Assassins emerged victorious over the Hornets, marking the second game of the Best 2 out of 3 Championship. A match that was held at BHi Brantford 2, was witnessed by eager fans and families, creating an atmosphere of unmatched excitement.

The game started off with an early goal from Brady Locke of the Assassins, but the Hornets quickly retaliated with an equalizer from Kaleb Fecteau, assisted by Tristan Biggs. The first period ended on a high note with the Assassins leading 3-2, thanks to more goals from Keeghan Kellam and Ilya Kramer.

The second period proved to be a fierce battle as Zack Mackinnon from Hornets managed to put one past the goalie, assisted by Trevor Martin.
