The match of August 8, 2025, between the Lumberjacks and Rapid Decline was nothing short of thrilling. Rapid Decline showcased their skills and determination, winning the game at BHi Brantford 1 venue.

The game started off with a swift goal from Quinn Gatez of Rapid Decline, assisted by Kirk Mackenzie and Beth Collins. Not to be outdone, the Lumberjacks’ Colton Farrugia equalized shortly after, setting the stage for an intense game.

The second period saw Rapid Decline taking the lead with another goal by star player Quinn Gatez.

The Lumberjacks strived to regain their footing, with their player Kherington Gifford earning a penalty. The Rapid Decline team wasn’t far behind in penalties, with Dylan Mills also earning a penalty for his play.

In the final period, Rapid Decline really took off. Tyler Zatylny, Todd Alway, Melanie Gunsch, and Kirk Mackenzie each made their mark on the scoreboard.

The Lumberjacks fought hard, with Leslie Hefner and Beth Collins of Rapid Decline both earning penalties. However, Rapid Decline held their lead, ending the game victorious.

Despite the Lumberjacks’ best efforts, Rapid Decline’s impressive teamwork and relentless offense led them to a well-earned victory. This game was a true showcase of the spirit and energy that makes youth ball hockey so exciting.
