In a gripping ball hockey game on the evening of May 28, 2025, the Gators emerged victorious, securing their place in the final by overcoming the valiant Huskies at the BHi Brantford 1 venue. This Semi-Final face-off featured a dynamic duel between Emerson Gibson of the Huskies and Carter Gilchrist of the Gators. After 60 minutes of back-and-forth action, the Gators won the contest.

The first period saw both teams swing into action, with Huskies’ Emerson Gibson breaking the ice, scoring a goal only seven minutes into the game. However, the Gators’ Carter Gilchrist retaliated quickly, scoring a goal with help from James Belina, tying the game in the same period. The second period mirrored the first, with both teams trading goals yet again.

Emerson Gibson scored his second goal of the night after a brilliant assist from Mya Martin. Carter Gilchrist followed suit by netting his second goal with no assist, keeping the game in balance at 2-2. In the final period, as the tension rose, Carter Gilchrist proved to be the hero of the day.

He scored the decisive goal just over a minute into the third period, completing his hat-trick and giving the Gators a lead they would not surrender. Despite the Huskies out-shooting the Gators 23 to 18, the Gators’ tenacity and Carter’s fantastic performance ultimately led the team to victory.
