Cyclones Storm to Victory in Nail-Biting Shootout
The energy was electric in the BHi Brantford 2 arena on May 27, 2025, as the Cyclones battled it out against the Empire in a heart-stopping semi-final ball hockey match that will be remembered for seasons to come. The game was an intense see-saw of skill, determination, and teamwork. In the first period, the Empire came out strong, with Carson Hall scoring the first goal assisted by Denver Boyd.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Denver then scored a goal of his own, setting the Empire two goals ahead. The Cyclones, however, refused to be left behind. Cienna Vicano found the back of the net, bringing the Cyclones back into the game.
Just before the end of the period, Braylin Sault, assisted by Gabriel Greene, scored for the Empire extending their lead. The second period started with a bang when the Cyclones’ Caleb Predojevic leveled up the score. The crowd went wild as this goal set the stage for an intense and evenly contested final period.
In the third period, Caleb Predojevic, assisted by Jacob Marchment, managed to score his second goal of the match, bringing the Cyclones level with the Empire once again. The game ended in a nail-biting shootout, the Cyclones emerged victorious, securing their place in the finals. A special shout-out to Empire’s Caleb Edelman who despite a 2-minute penalty, played a great game and showed true sportsmanship.
This thrilling match was a true showcase of talent and sportsmanship, and fans of both teams can’t wait to see what’s in store for the finals.
